Here Are The Pros Of Promotion

The 2010 PRO Award finalists were recently announced. It's your opportunity to see what the best promotional and experiential shops are doing. The event will be streaming live at 2pm EST on September 13 and you can register for free to watch it (I just did).

Promotional and experiential work has greatly changed the face of this business over the last few years. Many traditional shops have wised up and adapted, doing some notable work and making the nomination list . But if you check out the nominees, you will also see the work of agencies that have been specializing in promotional work for decades.

This is the type of awards presentation where you may learn something and not be blinded by the glitz of Cannes. For those of you looking to break into non-traditional work, you'll get to see how the experiential creative mind works.

For many reasons, I'm pulling for The Marketing Store, nominated for Best Mobile Marketing Campaign with 2009 Monopoly at McDonald's and Best Loyalty Program with MyCokeRewards — two of the longest-running promotional campaigns.
